Sunlight flickers through the trees
Dappling the forest floor with golden hues
Matthew stretches lazily towards the sky
An impish smile, twinkle in his eyes
And as the morning sun burns off the mist
Matthew peers between the trunks
Faerie wings beat just out of sight
Who might it be, on his sun-soaked cap to alight?
With deft and gentle elfin feet
She settles down and furls her wings
And starts to sing a lilting air
Matthew sways to the sound of hidden bells
